WHO IS YOUR VET?

We are asked this question a lot.

Potential puppy buyers ask this questions for a reference. Friends ask us for a referral and recommendations.

We always tell our puppy buyers that veterinarian will be their new best friend and that they need to find one that they trust one hundred percent!

Over the years of owning dogs we have visited multiple animal clinics in multiple states, and we still do see different doctors for various reasons.

For all our dogs' routine annual health exams, vaccinations, blood-work and other needs we visit OAKWOOD HILLS ANIMAL HOSPITAL, where our dogs are taken care by Dr. Erin Lokken.

Dr. Lokken also sees our pregnant females for puppy count X-rays and does our puppy exams at eight weeks.

For all our dogs' HIP & ELBOW diagnostic X-rays or in-house bloodwork we visit  Stillwater Veterinary Clinic,  2020 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater, MN 55082,   Phone(651) 439-3200.

Stillwater Veterinary Clinic stores our dogs' frozen semen and performs AI via surgical insemination (intra-uterine implantation of frozen semen).

For reproductive services, we also visit Inver Grove Heights Animal Hospital, 7131 Cahill Ave, Inver Grove Heights, MN 55076 for semen collection and shipment or performing TCI (trans-cervical insemination of fresh sperm directly into the uterus, bypassing the cervix).

And of course, when it comes to emergencies and accidents, we are thankful for veterinary clinics that do emergency and after-hours exams.  Our first choice is our vet, Oakwood Hills A.H. (that does have after hours and emergency services) , Hoof & Paw Clinic (Menomonie) or Veterinary Medical Center North–University of Minnesota (1365 Gortner Ave, St Paul, MN 55108)
